In the novel, Pollyanna. There is a game called the glad game. It's a game that Pollyanna learned from her father that he began it when the crutches came in the missionary barrel, and that Pollyanna wanted a doll so much. Her father had written them down. But when the barrel came the lady wrote back that there were no doll they brought in, only the crutches. She said that they would be mighty handy for Pollyanna, some time. That's how her father taught her the glad game. That whenever things gets rough or sad, we play the game by saying the glad word for every sentence we said. For example; " I am very glad I did well on my math test at school, I know I did my best to practice multiplication and division, and trying to memorize them. I'm also glad that my teacher told me yesterday that I've got 20 out 24 on my history test, I know the timelines very well and the history of David Thompson. I'm so glad I had a wonderful day today". I think it's a wonderful game to play, whenever you're feeling shy or sad, or if you're having a bad day, try it out and soon you'll be feeling happy.
